Mid-level Web Developer – Freelance
We are expanding our digital capacity and are looking for a flexible freelance developer to help us out on an ad-hoc basis. You will work with our small creative team to develop and deliver fully functional, compliant, accessible and responsive websites.
We’re passionate about what we do and work with clients who love what they do. - CMS driven website you have developed/co-developed
- Responsive website that you have developed/co-developed
- EDM or integrated campaign
- Other digital project (eg. App, Game)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 4+ years experience in agency/freelance capacity
- Commercial experience in back-end development and CMS based sites (WordPress, Joomla essential)
- Experience building browser compliant and accessible websites, eNewsletters, email campaigns etc
- This is not a design role, but a strong design aesthetic and experience in front-end design/development is advantageous
(HTML5, CSS3, XHTML, jQuery/JavaScript etc.)
MUST HAVE:
- The ability to translate conceptual and creative designs (from .ai and .psd files) across multiple platforms
- An interest in the latest digital trends and tools
- Confidence to think outside the box (and the brief) and offer innovative technical solutions to creative problems
- Great communication skills; be able to talk about front end/back end coding languages and principles
- A mature work ethic and ability to manage workload and time
- Your own PC or Mac with appropriate software – can work from home or the studio, but must be able attend briefings at our Melbourne office
